The Supreme Court just allowed the Trump administration to move forward with revoking temporary legal protections for more than [500,000 immigrants from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela.]([link removed])
These protections were originally granted under a Biden-era parole program. A lower court had blocked the Trump administration’s effort to end them. But in a new emergency ruling, the Supreme Court [removed that block]([link removed]) — allowing the revocation to proceed while litigation continues.
Two justices — Ketanji Brown Jackson and Sonia Sotomayor — dissented. They warned the decision could lead to widespread removals and serious consequences for families.
