The Supreme Court just allowed the Trump administration to move forward with revoking temporary legal protections for more than 500,000 immigrants from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela.
These protections were originally granted under a Biden-era parole program. A lower court had blocked the Trump administration’s effort to end them. But in a new emergency ruling, the Supreme Court removed that block — allowing the revocation to proceed while litigation continues.
Two justices — Ketanji Brown Jackson and Sonia Sotomayor — dissented. They warned the decision could lead to widespread removals and serious consequences for families.
