Donald Trump has formally accepted a $400 million private jet from the Qatari royal family — a gift that ABC News says may be “the most valuable ever extended to the United States from a foreign government.”

Trump is probably planning to use this new luxury Boeing 747-8 as his personal version of Air Force One, and his administration is greenlighting billions in arms sales to the Qatari government in return — including nearly $2 billion in advanced drones.

Let’s be clear: This isn’t diplomacy. It’s arms-dealing. It’s dangerous. And it may very well be unconstitutional.

We need to act immediately . The Senate has the authority to block these weapons deals — and Senator Chris Murphy is preparing to force a vote to stop them. But he can’t do it alone.
