Dear Neighbors,
Legislative leaders and Governor Walz announced a budget agreement [ [link removed] ] last week to balance the budget for the 2026-27 biennium. As we continue to work through the details, our deadline to constitutionally adjourn passed on May 19, and a special session will be necessary to tie up loose ends. Progress is being made on the budget and I'm encouraged by the bipartisan collaboration continuing.
To that end, I’m hosting a community coffee hour at the Galaxie Public Library [ [link removed] ] tomorrow, this Saturday (14955 Galaxie Ave, Apple Valley, MN 55124) at 9:30 a.m. I’d love to hear what’s on your mind and would appreciate hearing your stories about how you’re being impacted by any federal or state decisions.
