I founded Leaders We Deserve because I saw how our political system was working against our country's future. I saw how older and wealthier politicians kept holding onto power - and to the status quo - for longer than anyone needed them to.

Robert Peters knows what it means to defy the odds. Born deaf to a mother battling addiction and raised by a social worker and a civil rights attorney on the South Side of Chicago, he learned early on what it means to fight for justice and care for the community.
