John,
I’m not someone with a lot of money. I struggle to find money for food everyday. I have to fight to have a place to live. So when I learned that over the 10 years I worked at Subway, they stole over $100,000 in wages and penalties from me, I knew I had to act.
Wage theft is everywhere. 1 in 4 workers in LA have had an average of $3,500 illegally stolen from them by bosses, and Black and Latinx workers are significantly more likely to have their wages stolen.
Could you afford to lose $3,500? What about almost 30 times that much?
Luckily, I had a union at my back – the California Fast Food Workers Union – that my fellow workers and I fought for. Stand with us and demand an END to bosses stealing our wages. [[link removed]]
The truth is, bosses steal from us because they think they can get away with it. I’m determined to prove them wrong.
My fellow fast food workers here in California and I came together to form the California Fast Food Workers Union because we are more powerful together than on our own.
That’s why I’m certain I’ll win back what I’m owed and more. That’s why I’ll fight alongside my fellow union members, like I did when McDonald’s workers went on strike, because a harm to one is harm to all. Agree? Sign the petition now>> [[link removed]]
