After two weeks of protests and a 7-hour city counsel meeting, we can’t stop now. It’s time to demand change.

Tell City Council and Mayor Berke:
DEFUND THE POLICE ✊🏿✊🏾✊🏽✊🏼✊🏻

We showed up on June 9 and made our council meeting last week go on for over 7 hours demanding the police be defunded! But the fight’s not over — we need to see real change.

Fewer cops mean MORE social services… MORE social workers, MORE community assistance programs, MORE of what the community really needs! Google “police abolition” right now! #abolishthepolice #defundthepolice

28% of the city’s budget goes to the police right now! It should be MUCH, much less than that!

Minneapolis just WON - their City Council plans to abolish the cops! LA just WON a HUGE cop budget cut!

The city may not do it right away, but they WILL hear us and we CAN wear them down!

How do we tell them?

The next Chattanooga City Council budget meeting is on Zoom next Tuesday June 16th at 6PM.

City residents get 3 minutes to speak (no vulgar language… they can kick you off!).
