I’m angry.

The Trump administration slashed staffing and budgets at the Social
Security Administration. Now, there are growing fears of payment delays
and cuts to benefits.

Social Security means groceries on the table. It means medicine in the
cabinet. And it means dignity in retirement after a lifetime of work. And
these attacks on Social Security are targeted blows to the elders who
count on this lifeline to survive.

In Trump’s eyes, vulnerable people — like New Mexico’s seniors — are
expendable. I won’t stand for that. Not now, not ever.
