If there's one thing most Americans can agree on, it's that members of
Congress shouldn't be able to leverage the power of their office to get
rich.
When polled, [ [link removed] ]86% of Americans said that members of Congress should not
be able to trade stocks in individual companies, with essentially equal
levels of support from Republicans, Democrats and Independents.

trading already has been introduced in Congress. Now, it just needs to
pass.

Faith in Government Act, which prohibits lawmakers, their spouses, and
dependents from owning or trading individual stocks.
