Ban Congressional Stock Trading. Tell Your Legislator

Hi John,

If there's one thing most Americans can agree on, it's that members of Congress shouldn't be able to leverage the power of their office to get rich.

When polled, 86% of Americans said that members of Congress should not be able to trade stocks in individual companies, with essentially equal levels of support from Republicans, Democrats and Independents.

Bar Chart. Title is: Number of Americans Who Want to Ban Congressional Stock Trading. Top bar is red and says Republicans (87%), middle bar is blue and says Democrats (88%) and bottom bar is purple and says Independents (81%)

Even President Trump said he would sign a stock trading ban if it crossed his desk. But the best part? A bill to ban Congressional stock trading already has been introduced in CongressNow, it just needs to pass.

Tell your member of Congress that you support the Bipartisan Restoring Faith in Government Act, which prohibits lawmakers, their spouses, and dependents from owning or trading individual stocks.

Congress should serve the people, not their wallets.
