Welcome to our Team Tillis newsletter, where we discuss what Thom has been up
to from the campaign trail to Capitol Hill, and everything in between!

Friend,

From news of the first American Pope to President Trump’s successful trade
agreement with the UK, it was a busy week for exciting world news. As Thom
said, we’re making significant steps toward establishing productive
relationships with our global partners.

Back on the Hill, Thom was busy introducing the International Competition for
American Jobs Act, legislation that would modernize our international tax code
to strengthen the competitiveness of American companies, encourage domestic
investment, and reduce the influence of foreign tax regimes on U.S. economic
policy.

Thom and his conservative colleagues are fighting each day to build a more
prosperous and successful nation—and we’re seeing promising progress every week

History in the Making: Pope Leo XIV Chosen to be the First American Pope

God Bless Pope Leo XIV, the first American Pope!

This is undoubtedly a historic moment for both the Catholic Church and the
United States of America. Born in Chicago to parents of Spanish and
Franco-Italian descent, 69-year-old Robert Francis Prevost served as an altar
boy and was ordained in 1982. He spent a decade working as a local parish
pastor and as a teacher at a seminary in Trujillo, Peru.

May his papacy bring unity and hope to all!

Legislative Updates: Fighting for Digital Asset Regulatory Frameworks

Other countries are rapidly establishing digital asset regulatory frameworks.
For example, Europe’s MiCA and Singapore’s PSA are clear warning signs that the
U.S. risks falling behind in the race to innovate for the 21st Century.

Senate Republicans were ready to act this week—committed to pushing forward
with Senator Hagerty's GENIUS Act to provide stablecoin regulation that keeps
America at the forefront of financial innovation. Unfortunately, the same
Democrats who helped draft this bipartisan legislation, voted to block it. As
Thom put it, they are moving the goalposts instead of doing what’s needed to
secure our country’s leadership in the digital economy.

Americans deserve better than political games, especially when our prosperity
is at stake. Rest assured, Thom will keep fighting!

North Carolina News: Thom Applauds New NC State Directors for the Farm Service
Agency and Rural Development

This week, Thom applauded the announcement that Ron Garrett has been appointed
as State Executive Director of the North Carolina Farm Service Agency (FSA) and
Robert Hosford has been appointed as State Director of North Carolina Rural
Development. Here’s what he had to say about the news:

“Ron and Robert are fantastic choices to lead the NC Farm Service Agency and
Rural Development. I was proud to advocate on behalf of both of them and I look
forward to working with them to support North Carolina’s farmers and rural
communities.”

Most recently, Ron Garrett served as a County Executive Director for FSA for
more than 33 years. Robert Hosford served as State Director for Rural
Development in North Carolina during President Trump’s first term, and from
2003-2009, he served as USDA Farm Service Agency Chief of Staff.

Make it Monthly: Recurring Donations Fuel our Campaign

Thom’s 2026 campaign is the #1 Senate race in the country. Democrats will
throw everything they have at us to try to flip this seat and regain control
from Republicans in the Senate. We can’t let that happen.

But we need all the help we can get if we want to stand a chance against the
Democrat-funded machine. Recurring donors fuel our campaign and allow us to
have a steady stream of resources to fight against attacks from the Left. Will
you become a recurring donor today to fuel Team Tillis and hold onto a
Republican majority in 2026?
