As Thom said, we’re making significant steps toward establishing productive relationships with our global partners. Back on the Hill, Thom was busy introducing the International Competition for American Jobs Act, legislation that would modernize our international tax code to strengthen the competitiveness of American companies, encourage domestic investment, and reduce the influence of foreign tax regimes on U.S. economic policy. Thom and his conservative colleagues are fighting each day to build a more prosperous and successful nation—and we’re seeing promising progress every week -Team Tillis |
History in the Making: Pope Leo XIV Chosen to be the First American Pope
|
God Bless Pope Leo XIV, the first American Pope! This is undoubtedly a historic moment for both the Catholic Church and the United States of America. Born in Chicago to parents of Spanish and Franco-Italian descent, 69-year-old Robert Francis Prevost served as an altar boy and was ordained in 1982. He spent a decade working as a local parish pastor and as a teacher at a seminary in Trujillo, Peru. May his papacy bring unity and hope to all! |
