Hi John Incredible! In just a few days nearly 150,000 people have called on Boris Johnson to make sure we don't drop our food and environmental standards in a bad trade deal with Trump's America. Please can you add your name: [link removed]

Right now, our government is passing three crucial post-Brexit laws - the Agriculture Bill, the Trade Bill and the Environment Bill - which will decide what our environment and food protections will look like for years to come.

That's why we need more people to take action now, will you?

Trump's trade team wants to flood our shelves with low grade food and let consumers decide whether or not they'll buy it. [1] How about we make that choice for them now? Instead of waiting to read the labels in supermarkets and hoping restaurants don't serve chlorine-washed chicken and hormone-fed beef - let's demand that future trade deals protect food and environmental standards in law.

The UK has been protected from imports of low standard food products through EU legislation for decades. But with the UK now out of the EU, the US is piling on pressure for us to weaken our trading standards as part of a new trade deal.

Our environment and food standards can't be sacrificed in a Trump trade deal. Will you sign the petition?

Boris Johnson and his government have made promises and broken them before. Just last weekend his Trade and Environment Secretaries said they won't "lower our food, farming, health and animal welfare standards as we negotiate our new post-Brexit trade deals." [2] If they really mean that, they should put this promise in law through the Agriculture Bill. Let's hold them to it.

Let's do this.
