It’s been less than 100 days since Donald Trump took office. His tariff policy is crashing the economy in the midst of a constitutional crisis as Trump defies court orders and violates due process rights.

The only way out is to win.

In times like these, I think a lot about my Navy training, which taught me that in a crisis, you run toward the fight.

So I want to tell you why I believe that winning this race (and winning big) is one of the most important things we can do right now to stop Trump and Musk.

The only thing that Donald Trump and Republicans respond to is power. Right now, Democrats don’t have a lot of it in Washington.

Along with Virginia, New Jersey is the first state in the nation with the opportunity to weigh in at the ballot box.

We need to win — and win big. It’s our responsibility to deliver a forceful rebuke to this administration, and put Republicans on notice ahead of the 2026 midterms. Unless and until they fear for their personal power, no GOP elected official will lift a finger to constrain Trump’s power.
