Yesterday, William McGurn of the Wall Street Journal featured ([link removed] Research Center in his weekly column. The former George W. Bush speechwriter criticized the notion of "systemic racism"--used to justify riots--by citing our Architects of Woke video on Stokely Carmichael ([link removed] the radical activist who helped launch the idea.McGurn also quoted me on the ways the Left justifies mob rule:"Radical mobs on campuses call speech they don't like 'violence,'" says Scott Walter of the Capital Research Center. "Radical mobs in the streets call their violence 'speech.' Either way, instead of highlighting the difference between peaceful protesters and rioters, they want to erase it."McGurn also references the New York Times's heavily criticized 1619 Project, which claims the central event in the founding of the United States was the first importation of enslaved Africans to Virginia in 1619, not the Declaration of Independence in 1776.
