John, I'm excited to share the latest from CRC with you:
Yesterday, William McGurn of the Wall Street Journalfeatured Capital Research Center in his weekly column. The former George W. Bush speechwriter criticized the notion of "systemic racism"--used to justify riots--by citing our Architects of Woke video on Stokely Carmichael, the radical activist who helped launch the idea.
McGurn also quoted me on the ways the Left justifies mob rule:
"Radical mobs on campuses call speech they don't like 'violence,'" says Scott Walter of the Capital Research Center. "Radical mobs in the streets call their violence 'speech.' Either way, instead of highlighting the difference between peaceful protesters and rioters, they want to erase it."
McGurn also references the New York Times's heavily criticized 1619 Project, which claims the central event in the founding of the United States was the first importation of enslaved Africans to Virginia in 1619, not the Declaration of Independence in 1776. Our most recent Architects of Woke video takes on The 1619 Project's Fake History, calling out the many factual errors in this Pulitzer Prize-winning propaganda.
Our Architects of Woke video series takes aim at a variety of far-left thinkers and activists who spread the poison of identity politics from college campuses to society at large. To date, the videos have been viewed nearly 2 million times. The 1619 Project's Fake History alone has over 500,000 of those views.
As always, I welcome your thoughts on how we can better serve our mission of exposing the Left's activists and donors. E-mail me at [email protected], or call me at 202.464.2044.
Best wishes,
Scott Walter, President
