A federal judge has found “probable cause” to hold the Trump
administration in criminal contempt of court for violating his previous
order and deporting over 200 immigrants, including Kilmar Abrego Garcia,
to an El Salvador mega-prison without due process.

U.S. District Judge James E. Boasberg has given the Trump administration
until April 23rd to explain how they’ve remedied their violation of his
court order or identify who made the decision to ignore his order, or
potentially face prosecution.

As Trump and his MAGA movement verbally attack this judge and call for his
impeachment just for doing his job, Judge Boasberg is standing his ground:
“The Constitution does not tolerate willful disobedience of judicial
orders.”

This fight is part of a larger battle between the judicial and executive
branches, as Trump tries to overstep his presidential authority and
undermine the independence of our nation’s courts. What happens next could
signal the fate of our democracy as we know it,
