Yesterday, I filed my 13th lawsuit against the Trump administration to
stop them from blocking $200 million in funding for California schools
that had been previously awarded.
[ [link removed] ]Headline from the Los Angeles Times reading "California, other states
sue Trump administration over clawback of COVID school funds". There is a
picture of AG Bonta looking at another figure and speaking.
This time, the Trump administration is overstepping its authority by
revoking hundreds of millions of dollars in federal funding issued to
school districts nationwide to help recover from the COVID-19 pandemic.
Though the public health emergency has ended, our children face ongoing
challenges in the aftermath. While the Biden administration previously
extended schools’ ability to use these funds for things like after-school
and summer learning programs, student mental health services, new
classroom technology, and more, this administration is trying to rip it
all away.
Once again, this president and his cabinet are breaking the law while
throwing our schools into turmoil and jeopardizing the academic success of
a generation of American children. As a father, I can’t let this happen.

California’s schools and students: if you’re with me in the fight, pitch
in $5 or more today.
