The initiative will launch with a town hall event on June 25 where business and community leaders will discuss concrete actions that the government and the private sector can take to address inequality through education, employment, entrepreneurship, and criminal justice reform. The national initiative is being led by a steering committee of leaders from coast to coast and across chambers and industries, including Vincent B. Orange, Sr., President and CEO of the DC Chamber of Commerce. Many local chambers from across the Commonwealth, and the Virginia Chamber are also joining the initiative. The work of this national initiative will build on the existing work of the Arlington Chamber, including the annual job shadow day we host with Arlington Public Schools and our active support of many internship programs.
