Hi friend --

This isn't the first time Mike Pence has lied to the American public -- but it may be the most egregious.

The vice president claimed to be an advocate for peaceful protests on Twitter, tweeting:

[A tweet from @Mike_Pence reads "We believe in law and order in this Country. We condemn violence against property or persons. We will always stand for the right of Americans to peacefully protest and let their voices be heard."]

Twitter users quickly reminded the VP that he hasn't stood for the right of peaceful protesters in the past -- recalling the time Pence walked out of an NFL game because some players had chosen to take a knee during the national anthem to protest police brutality.
