As Identity’s Alternative Spring Break approaches, many youth are showing signs of heightened fear and anxiety. Some worry about being separated from a parent, while others have absorbed the financial and safety concerns they see in the adults around them. Now more than ever, it is essential that we provide Identity youth with spaces to simply be kids while receiving the support they need to navigate challenges.

So, at this particularly critical time, our team is hard at work planning an expanded Alternative Spring Break with activities for Montgomery County elementary, middle, and high school students from high-need neighborhoods with opportunities to recharge, try something new, make new friends and connect with caring adults in a safe and supportive environment.

Extra help from supporters like you ([link removed]) will allow thousands of students to benefit from a Spring Break filled with opportunities for growth and healing and ready them for a strong finish to the school year with:
* Hands-on learning experiences in STEM, the arts, and leadership development.

* Therapeutic recreation and outdoor adventures such as hiking the Billy Goat Trail, camping at Manidokan along the Potomac River and an Anacostia River Boat tour with the US Forestry Service.

* Mindfulness workshops and emotional support groups to help youth build emotional resilience.

* Community-building events and volunteer activities that foster a sense of belonging and civic engagement.

Together, we can ensure that young people not only find relief from their worries but also gain the tools and confidence to cope with uncertainty. If you are able, please help us help kids be kids ([link removed]) .

Especially in times of crisis, investing in young people is a smart investment. Thank you for believing in the promise of all youth.
