Legislative Update
As we reach the midpoint of the legislative session, I want to take a moment to update you on the progress we’ve made and the important conversations I’ve had with many of you. It has been a privilege to meet with constituents and stakeholders from all corners of our district. Your feedback continues to shape my work here at the Capitol, and I truly value the opportunity to hear your concerns and ideas.
In recent weeks, I’ve had productive discussions with local leaders, small business owners, and educators, all of whom play a vital role in making our community strong. From addressing issues in agriculture to finding solutions for our schools, these conversations help guide my decisions on the important legislation before us. I’d like to share some of these meetings below!

Minnesota Turf Association
Thursday, I attended the Minnesota Turf Grower's Association annual meeting. I met with members and learned more about how current regulations are impacting the sod farming industry and their concerns surrounding the future PFML and Earned Sick and Save Time (ESST) rollout. We also discussed the potential sod farm checkoff dollars pending vote and how that will affect the industry if it does pass. These fees could be used to fund research and education initiatives that could benefit the industry in the future.
