Hi there,

It’s no secret – the majority of the people in the Trump cabinet are white men. This isn’t just about the vast benefits of DEI or representation (though that point cannot be overstated). It’s a valid concern on behalf of anyone who isn’t a white man, as these are the people making the decisions about our lives, our safety, and our futures.

We’ve heard the way Trump and his coalition talk about women. Starting with phrases like “grab her by the pu**y” and, most recently, referring to any accomplished woman in power as a “DEI hire.” We’re bracing ourselves for what these ideologies can look like as policies – and understand that, in many ways, we’re already seeing a backslide for women’s progress in America.

As we near the end of Women’s History Month, it is undeniable that we need more women in our government to safeguard our decades of hard-fought progress and protect our rights. Support more pro-choice and pro-women women running for office this year and beyond by chipping in $20.25 or more today. →

In case you missed it, Trump’s national security adviser – Mike Waltz – accidentally added The Atlantic’s editor-in-chief to a group chat on the unsecured, commercial messaging app Signal, where they were discussing high-level military strikes in Yemen.

According to Politico, “Hegseth addressed the issue briefly Wednesday during a weeklong Asia trip. The information in the messages ‘doesn’t look like war plans,’ he said. ‘You know who sees war plans? I see them. Every single day.’”

To be clear: if the messages were leaked, it could have put American military personnel in danger.

This is just another example of how toxic masculinity is running rampant in our government. It also serves as a cause for serious concern about the temperament and ability of America’s leaders tasked with negotiating peace on the global stage, as national security remains a pressing topic. At Her Bold Move, we know that the world would be a better place with a more feminine approach to these issues.

According to international data collected from 1989 to 2011, when women are involved in peace agreements, peace is 35% more likely to last 15+ years. On the flipside, war disproportionately impacts women – often in radical and unimaginably dangerous ways.

At Her Bold Move, we understand our responsibility in this moment. We know that our best defense against the dangerous toxic masculinity of the Trump administration is to elect MORE WOMEN to the U.S. government. It is critical to our pursuit of national security and to getting as close to world peace as possible.

Our democracy remains as fragile as ever – but brave women continue to serve as much-needed checks and balances to block potential damage at every turn. Before Women’s History Month comes to a close, be sure to help elect more brave women to office in 2025 and 2026 by pitching in $20.25 or more today →

Her Bold Move is the fastest-growing support network for women running for political office in America. As dangerous laws about women get passed in states with the lowest numbers of women in government (11%, 12%....), we're BREAKING the male supermajorities across those states.

Because men shouldn't be making laws about women's bodies.
