Dear Friend,

Two nights ago, in the freezing temperatures near Wrigley Field, a compassionate Good Samaritan heard the desperate meows of a cat calling for help in an alley. He was found shivering, injured and severely hungry. The combination of cold, wet weather left him vulnerable and suffering until he was finally heard.

This sweet kitty, now named Frosty, was rushed to our care, where our veterinarians discovered an abscess on his paw and painful ulcerations likely caused by frostbite from the frigid conditions. His hunger was evident as he eagerly devoured the food our care team provided.

Our rescue team is on high alert on days like this, ready to bring homeless pets into the warmth and safety of our care. Your support today will have an immediate impact on homeless pets suffering through Chicago’s frigid winter.

Frosty’s story is one of survival against the odds, and while he’s not out of danger yet, with medical care, warmth, and plenty of love, he now has a chance to heal and thrive.

Please support our Cold Weather Rescue Fund today. ([link removed]) Together, we are building a No Kill Chicago and setting the future for all homeless animals to not just survive but thrive!
