Sucker success story

A team of fish biologists wade upriver to catch fish using electroshocking equipment

One of the Wyoming Game and Fish Department’s largest *native fish restoration projects* [ [link removed] ] is giving two native species a chance to sustain their populations in southwest Wyoming. The project spanned 52.5 miles of river above the Big Sandy Reservoir, provides benefits for some more common sportfish and was made possible by a lot of work and cooperation among Game and Fish, landowners and partners. 






Two long-time Game and Fish regional fisheries supervisors set to retire

Two long-time regional fisheries supervisors are set to retire from the Wyoming Game and Fish Department. *Robb Keith of the Green River Region* [ [link removed] ] retires after 30 years and *Paul Mavrakis of the Sheridan Region* [ [link removed] ] retires after 29 years.







Watercraft transported across states must be inspected for AIS

Beginning this month, Game and Fish will be resuming seasonal operations for aquatic invasive species (AIS) check stations across Wyoming. These *mandatory inspections* [ [link removed] ] help ensure watercraft are not bringing invasive species of mussels into the state’s waterways.
