Hi John,
I’m Denea, Immigrants Rising’s National Entrepreneurship Manager.
The beginning of Spring is a renewal of how we find opportunities for transformative change and new growth.
Even when there remains uncertainty about DACA's future ([link removed]) , especially for initial applicants and those in Texas, we will not wait idly by. It may feel intimidating to take action, but you are not alone. We have champions in courts and legislatures ([link removed]) , advocates working tirelessly to secure necessary protections from the government ([link removed]) , professionals distributing critical information services, day-to-day workers bravely showing up for their communities, and every single one of us who has made a personal commitment to breaking barriers on the social, legal, local, and national levels.
Will you join me in moving towards a world where all of us, regardless of immigration status, can freely thrive? Here are some ways you can take control of your own journey while uplifting the undocumented community:
* Consider entrepreneurship as a possibility to generate stable income. ([link removed])
* Learn how to protect your business in uncertain times ([link removed]) (click here for the Spanish session ([link removed]) ).
* Attend a workshop about supporting others through business ownership. ([link removed])
* Join the Economic Mobility for All Coalition ([link removed]) in our fight to expand career access in California!
It may be difficult to plan or imagine a brighter future in today’s world. But as spring guarantees new blooms, there is no doubt that we will do the same.
Rising Together,
