<p><strong>When we launched this petition, I thought CARA&mdash;the Motion Picture Association&rsquo;s rating board&mdash;would listen.</strong> I thought they&rsquo;d respect the thousands of parents who simply want a warning before LGBTQ content is slipped into their child&rsquo;s shows.</p> <p><strong>I was wrong.</strong></p> <p>CARA is supposed to be an independent body, but guess what? <strong>They don&rsquo;t even have a working phone number.</strong> We tried for months to reach someone&mdash;anyone&mdash;inside their office. Nothing. Even when we called the Motion Picture Association (MPA) headquarters in Washington, D.C.,<strong> they couldn&rsquo;t locate a direct number for CARA.</strong></p> <p><strong>They are hiding from parents like you and me.</strong></p> <p>If they won&rsquo;t answer the phone, we&rsquo;ll show up in person. We are taking this fight straight to<strong> California, Washington, D.C., Florida, and Texas</strong>&mdash;where the MPA&rsquo;s offices are located across the country. <p>They want to keep us quiet. <strong>But we are mama bears, and we are fighting for our children.</strong></p> <p>Hollywood, Netflix, and Disney have made their agenda clear. <strong>They are sneaking LGBTQ content into kids&rsquo; programming while refusing to give parents a warning.</strong> They won&rsquo;t let us opt out.</p> <p>We already confronted CARA&mdash;and <strong>they rejected our petition outright.</strong> Now we know why.</p> <p>CARA is not independent. It&rsquo;s a puppet of the Motion Picture Association, and the elite content creators who <strong>do not respect your rights as a parent.</strong></p> <p>The MPA can fix this.&nbsp;CARA, an in house committee, has the power to add an LGBTQ content warning&mdash;just like they do for name-calling, crude humor, and mild violence. But they won&rsquo;t do it unless they feel the heat.</p> <p>We&rsquo;re taking the fight directly to their offices&mdash;<strong>but we can&rsquo;t do it without you.</strong></p>
