They empower families with knowledge about medical interventions, comfort techniques and patient rights while creating safe, memorable birthing experiences.
Start Early's Doula ImpactFor over four decades, doula services have been central to our mission:
- Direct Family Support: Through our Healthy Parents & Babies program, we provide in-home and virtual support to pregnant people and families with children up to age 3 in under-served Chicago communities.
- Community Partnerships: Our Home Visiting & Doula Network collaborates with agencies across Illinois, sharing expertise and expanding our reach.
- Professional Development: We offer training and resources to over 300 programs nationally through our professional education platform called "The Essentials of Home Visiting.”
- Policy Advocacy: We champion policies that increase access to quality doula services, ensuring more families benefit from this essential support.
