This week, we learned about a 48-year-old woman who was arrested for providing an abortion in Houston, Texas.
In the hours since, two more healthcare providers have been arrested in Texas for the same thing.

It’s hard to keep up, but it’s critical that we take these moves seriously – especially here in Virginia.
Virginia is the only state in the South without an abortion ban, and I intend to fight to keep it that way.
But if Glenn Youngkin has his way, that could all change. Healthcare could literally be criminalized.
That’s why I wrote a bill protecting contraceptive healthcare. That’s why I wrote a bill protecting Virginia doctors providing reproductive healthcare.
But Glenn Youngkin hasn’t signed on.
Don’t get me wrong: I’m going to keep the pressure on to urge our Commonwealth to adopt my legislation. But I’m also going to fight like hell to win my race for Lieutenant Governor so I can make sure these rights are protected.
