It’s hard to keep up, but it’s critical that we take these moves seriously – especially here in Virginia.
Virginia is the only state in the South without an abortion ban, and I intend to fight to keep it that way.
But if Glenn Youngkin has his way, that could all change. Healthcare could literally be criminalized.
That’s why I wrote a bill protecting contraceptive healthcare. That’s why I wrote a bill protecting Virginia doctors providing reproductive healthcare. But Glenn Youngkin hasn’t signed on. Don’t get me wrong: I’m going to keep the pressure on to urge our Commonwealth to adopt my legislation. But I’m also going to fight like hell to win my race for Lieutenant Governor so I can make sure these rights are protected.
