I just ‘stepped off’ the virtual debate stage, and I wanted to reach out personally to thank you for your support.

I’m proud of all that we’ve accomplished together for Brooklyn, and I’m excited about all the progress yet to come.

For the past few months, I have been working diligently to ensure every member of our community has what they need to stay safe and healthy, from PPE to food and other essentials. 

And in light of the events over this past weekend, I pledge to continue our efforts to ensure that all blatant acts of racism are addressed with the severity of the acts themselves.

I know the strength of our community, and I know we can come out of this pandemic stronger together.

I hope you saw my passion for my neighbors and community during tonight’s debate. As long as I have served as your member of Congress, I have been focused on strengthening our community and passing legislation that provides relief and increases equity. 

I promise to continue fighting for you with all I have, in 2020 and beyond.
