This weekend we were at a new cockfighting location, this one outside of Mount Pleasant, Texas, in Titus County. As you can see in the aerial image, below, taken with a SHARK drone, this was a very large event.

At least four vehicles from the Titus County Sheriff's Office showed up. The very bad news is that although the police showed up, the criminal cockfighters had a locked gate, and the police said they would need a warrant to go in. For reasons we can't imagine, the county prosecutor did not attempt to get a warrant. The cockfight was stopped, but there should have been hundreds of arrests. Cockfighting is a felony in Texas, but the prosecutor's office appears to have completely dropped the ball.

This is the third cockfight in three weeks that SHARK has droned- two pits in Texas, and one in Oklahoma. We are routing the cockfighters, but we need support from law enforcement to finish the job, and that is proving to be a problem. Please contact the Titus County Prosecutor's Office, and let them know your feelings about hundreds of criminal cockfighters simply being allowed to walk away.

On the steer tailing front, it is very unfortunate that the first event of the season held at Rancho La Esperanza in Rochelle, IL did happen, and we are only one month away from the next event. These events are cruel and illegal because they break the Humane Care for Animals Act, but corrupt officials in Illinois won't do anything to stop it. Apparently the payoffs they are receiving are just too juicy. For our part, we will continue to expose the entire state until the cruelty ends. Then we will move on to other states until steer tailing is eradicated from coast to coast.

Stick with us as we continue to pursue both steer tailers and cockfighters, as well as other animal abusers. We are determined that 2025 will be a big year of victory for animals, but you are the ones who will make it possible with your support, and your calls demanding action from officials.
