Look, protecting Washingtonians is my
top priority. That's why my office filed a lawsuit to stop Donald
Trump's Department of Education from depriving thousands of
Washington students of financial aid included in the Coronavirus
Aid, Relief & Economic Security (CARES Act).
Students in adult basic education and DREAMers are just two
examples of the Washingtonians Betsy DeVos has arbitrarily deemed
unworthy of CARES Act assistance.
This is wrong -- and illegal.
I'm not backing down on this -- or any other fight where
Washingtonians are being harmed. My determination to protect our
community, unfortunately, is making me a target for powerful
special interests.
That's why I'm asking for your help today for my re-election.
Can you chip in to help reach our May fundraising goal? We need
to raise $15,500 before midnight on Sunday to stay on track.
