It’s almost impossible to put into words the outrage I feel about the violent death of George Floyd in Minneapolis.

Watching the video sickens me. I start getting emotional about it. It is a painful reminder of the structural and systemic racism which is rooted in our community.

At my event on Saturday, Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal and I reflected on the death of George Floyd and what must be done:

In short - there is much more to be done.

As Attorney General, I will continue to fight for accountability, justice and equality for all Washingtonians.
