The November 2020 elections will be one of the most important elections of
our lifetime.

As we look towards the future of our government and especially the
Democratic Party, we need progressive leaders from coast to coast running
for office on platforms that reflect the values of social, environmental,
and economic justice. If this occurs, it is inevitable that 2020 will
create a blue wave across the country.

That is why I have endorsed Lt. Governor David Zuckerman running for
Governor in Vermont. He was first inspired to run for office by
then-Congressman Bernie Sanders and, throughout his two decades of public
service, has fought for a $15 minimum wage, powerful action on the climate
crisis, and was the deciding vote in making Vermont the first state in the
country to legalize gay marriage.

David and I both know our democracy relies on participation. That is why
we are fighting so hard to ensure you can safely make your voice heard by
casting your ballot.

Together, we are fighting for all of our rights and our democracy. In
Congress, I am pressuring my colleagues and the president to immediately
pass vote-by-mail legislation to ensure that every American has the right
and the opportunity to vote in the election this November without putting
their safety — and the safety of their loved ones — at risk.

In Vermont, David's doing his part to achieve the same goal of
vote-by-mail. This is a freedom we need to ensure all people can make
their voices heard, and do so safely.

David is running to unseat a Republican incumbent. We need progressive
leadership from coast to coast fighting for workers, the environment and
justice.
