Dear John,

Energy powers every aspect of modern life—our homes, hospitals, schools and industries—creating opportunities for healthier, more prosperous communities. Access to clean, abundant, affordable and reliable energy is a cornerstone of economic growth and human well-being.

That’s why today I am thrilled to introduce the *WRI Polsky Center for the Global Energy Transition* made possible by a transformational $75 million gift from the Polsky Foundation. The center will work to modernize and expand energy grids, scale financing and deployment, source critical minerals responsibly and build a skilled and future-ready workforce.

The WRI Polsky Energy Center will combine our renowned experts, a world-class Advisory Group and a diverse network of partners to deliver pragmatic, scalable solutions.

*By harnessing WRI’s analytical power, convening ability and global expertise, we are driving the transition to a clean, abundant, affordable and reliable energy future.*

We are incredibly grateful that Michael and Tanya Polsky have chosen to invest in WRI. This is part of a combined $100 million contribution ( [link removed] ) to WRI and the University of Chicago to accelerate the global energy transition.

Gifts like this create the momentum we need to transform the energy system, transform economies and transform lives.

We invite you to learn more about how we are delivering solutions at wri.org/energy ( [link removed] ).

Thank you as always for your support. I couldn’t be more excited about what’s ahead!
