The America I know doesn't turn its back on our allies. We stand for liberty wherever it is threatened, and we don't side with murderous tyrants over democratic freedom fighters.
When President Trump attempted to humiliate Ukrainian President Zelenskyy in the Oval Office, he didn't just betray our ally. He betrayed our nation's values.
Let's be clear, friend: Vladimir Putin is not our friend. He's a ruthless dictator who has ordered numerous journalists, activists, and political opponents murdered. His war in Ukraine is a flagrant, illegal attempt to seize more land and power.
As the co-chair of the Congressional Ukraine Caucus, I won't stand by while our 5-time draft-dodging president abandons our allies and bows down to Moscow. I'll always fight for liberty and democracy, at home and abroad.
