Fellow Advocate,
I wish I was reporting better news, but here we are. At today’s Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl Victory Parade, two women were shot by a man in a jersey as the result of an unknown argument.[1]
Our city and all our communities deserve better than random and deadly violence erupting during moments of elation. If you agree that we shouldn't have to live like this, make a $5 contribution to our movement today. [[link removed]]

I know this news is infuriating, as Philadelphia’s joy was stolen by senseless violence. But, as a Philadelphian, I know how resilient we are. That nothing can stop us--including as we saw last week the Chiefs. And I know we won’t let up until we’ve passed the legislation we need to #EndGunViolence and increase peace and safety for all our communities.
For the Birds fans among us, we hope (and expect!) to bring the Lombardi Trophy back to Philadelphia again next year. You can help us prevent yet another Super Bowl Parade shooting on our turf by joining our movement. Will you help us build statewide power to defeat the gun lobby and safeguard our families and communities by contributing $5 today? [[link removed]]
