Today is a big day in American history. On this day in 1920, Congress officially ratified the 19th Amendment, cementing the right to vote for women in the United States.

It took a decades-long struggle to obtain women's suffrage -- organizing on a massive scale, a dedicated strategy, and a whole group of people determined to see it through. Sound familiar?

With voter suppression becoming an active part of the GOP's electoral strategy -- especially against women and people of color -- voting access and turnout has never mattered more.

It's why a core part of our mission is registering as many voters as possible -- since our founding in 2013, we've registered more than 185,000 people in the Lone Star State -- and it's why we've set such an ambitious goal heading into 2020.
