Trump and Musk are doubling down on their attacks on Social Security. Musk
told Joe Rogan he thinks it’s “the biggest Ponzi scheme of all time” while
Trump used his speech to Congress to spread LIES that Social Security is
overrun by fraud.

Social Security is an earned benefit we pay into our entire lives. 72
MILLION people rely on it to survive. And now the richest man in the world
is coming after it, closing local offices and announcing "significant
workforce reductions" that will cut 7,000 jobs!

It’s straight out of an authoritarian playbook. First Musk and Trump
spread disinformation that the Social Security Administration is infested
by widespread fraud. Then they’ll use that lie to justify slashing vital
services that millions rely on to survive, while moving to privatize so
that they (and the rest of the Oligarchs) can profit even more off the
backs of all of us.
In 8 DECADES of sending monthly benefits, Social Security has never missed
a payment. Yet after just a few weeks of Trump and Musk, experts are
already warning of a looming “disaster.”

Meanwhile, Bernie just introduced a new bill to EXPAND Social Security
benefits by $2,400 a year AND ensure the program has enough funding to
operate for the next 75 years — all by just making the rich pay a bit more
of their fair share of taxes. GOP Senators made their priorities clear by
blocking the bill.
Bernie’s right: we need to be investing in Social Security, not slashing
it. But if Musk isn’t stopped, seniors and disabled Americans will quickly
pay the price as their benefits are interrupted, slashed, or ripped away.
