The conflicts of interest just keep coming when it comes to Elon Musk and
his role in the government.
[ [link removed] ]Elon Musk's company Starlink may soon take over a $2.4B Federal
Aviation Administration (FAA) contract originally awarded to Verizon.
Musk, of course, is famously the head of the so-called Department of
Government Efficiency (DOGE), and is slashing agencies that regulate his
companies. He's fired hundreds of FAA staff, weakening the agency right as
his company Starlink is in line for a massive federal contract. He even
demanded a resignation from the FAA’s Senate-confirmed administrator.
This is a classic corruption playbook:
1. Cause issues (in this case, by weakening the FAA)
2. Claim only you can fix them (in this case, by replacing Verizon with
Starlink)
3. Profit (Elon Musk, at the expense of the American people)

around to call this what it is: blatant corruption.
