How Elon Musk is using the FAA for his own profit

Elon Musk is using his government connections to benefit is personal businesses. Learn how he's using the Federal Aviation Administration to enrich himself and what you can do about it.

Hi John,

The conflicts of interest just keep coming when it comes to Elon Musk and his role in the government.

Elon Musk's company Starlink may soon take over a $2.4B Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) contract originally awarded to Verizon

Musk, of course, is famously the head of the so-called Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), and is slashing agencies that regulate his companies. He's fired hundreds of FAA staff, weakening the agency right as his company Starlink is in line for a massive federal contract. He even demanded a resignation from the FAA’s Senate-confirmed administrator.

This is a classic corruption playbook:

  1. Cause issues (in this case, by weakening the FAA)
  2. Claim only you can fix them (in this case, by replacing Verizon with Starlink)
  3. Profit (Elon Musk, at the expense of the American people)

And since Trump fired independent inspectors general, there’s no one around to call this what it is: blatant corruption.

No one except us, that is. It's on us to tell our Congressional representatives that we need to hold Musk accountable and ensure that our government works for us, not the ultra-wealthy.
