(miamidade.gov/wise305) , a bold new vision for an even more streamlined, efficient, and effective county government. WISE305 is our promise to maximize the value of your tax dollars and create a government that takes care of business for YOU, built on four core pillars:
- Workplace Incentives: Empowering County employees to identify and eliminate inefficient rules and regulations that slow down operations.
- Investments in Technology: Leveraging automation to modernize permitting systems and make it faster, easier, and less expensive to do business in and with the County.
- Savings for Businesses and Residents: Consolidating services, eliminating redundancies, and leveraging strategic partnerships to maximize every dollar spent.
- Efficiency Audit: Reviewing outdated policies with the Board of County Commissioners to cut red tape and sunset unnecessary regulations.

4 Years of Promises Kept
Since I made history as the first woman Mayor of Miami-Dade in 2020—and was re-elected last year—we’ve worked to make our county stronger, safer, and more affordable. As we head into March and celebrate Women’s History Month, I’m reminded that progress is about breaking barriers and delivering results. From housing to transit, small businesses to our environment, we’ve built a government that responds to our community’s needs today and tomorrow. In my second term, I’m more energized than ever to keep going. Our recent

MIA’s year-in-review press conference to celebrate last year’s record-breaking numbers of 56 million passengers and 3 million tons of cargo, making us #2 for international passengers and #1 for international cargo in the US, as well as #3 for cargo overall!
MIA has come very far since we launched the historic $9 billion Future-Ready MIA Plan in early 2024. In just one year, we have made tremendous progress fixing elevators, escalators, and walkways, upgrading conveyance units, restrooms, and boarding bridges, and breaking ground on a new 2,200-space parking garage. We’re also investing in our people through the "I AM MIA" customer service program, which has already trained over 1,300 employees to improve how our passengers and employees experience our airport from the cabin to the curve.
