programs like Medicare and Medicaid to make room in the budget for tax
breaks for their wealthy friends.

President Trump and Republicans claimed their budget cuts will not touch
Medicaid.

That’s a lie.

Trump endorsed the House resolution which will slash Medicaid — along with
support for our veterans and nurses, doctors, and scientists who work to
keep Wisconsin families healthy. And all but one House Republican voted in
favor of it.

As Wisconsin's Senator and member of the Senate Health, Education, Labor
and Pensions (HELP) Committee, Tammy stands with the 1.1 million Wisconsin
seniors, children, and veterans who depend on Medicaid. In defense of this
essential health care, Tammy joined a group of her colleagues to demand
Republicans keep their hands off Medicare and Medicaid.

As Republicans try to dismantle essential programs to pay for their
billionaire tax breaks, we’re calling on this team to stand with Tammy
against this full-on threat to Americans’ health care.
