Deadline Extended for Small Business & Worker Relief Funds

If you own a small business or nonprofit—or worked at a business impacted by the recent wind and wildfire disaster—don’t miss your chance to apply for the *LA Region Small Business and Worker Relief Funds before the deadline on Wednesday, March 12*.


* *Small Business Relief Fund:* Offers cash assistance grants up to $25,000 for small businesses and nonprofits that suffered structural damage, equipment or inventory loss, or revenue loss due to the disaster.
* *Worker Relief Fund:* Provides cash assistance grants up to $2,000 for workers who lost employment or income because of the disaster.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has completed debris removal on the first residential property to undergo Phase 2 cleanup operations. Read more here [ [link removed] ]. 

For those opting into the government-sponsored debris removal program, the online Right of Entry form is available here [ [link removed] ]. The form also is available in Spanish, [ [link removed] ] Russian [ [link removed] ], Armenian [ [link removed] ], Korean [ [link removed] ], and Simplified Chinese [ [link removed] ].

*For those who opt-out:* Property owners who choose to hire private contractors for fire debris removal can now receive a permit that allows home and business owners and their authorized private contractors to manage their own debris removal efforts while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal safety and environmental standards.

Public Health Town Hall 

Join the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health and partners for a virtual town hall on "Thursday, March 6 at 6.pm." The town hall will cover post-fire air, soil, and water assessment plan addressing air quality, soil and water testing, plus next steps.

Experts will provide testing results for completed assessments, explain what they mean, and answer your questions on how you can protect your health and community during recovery.

Free Medical and Mental Health Clinic in Pasadena

The Eaton Health Village, in partnership with the Department of Mental Health, is providing free medical and mental health care every Monday and Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Pasadena Seventh-Day Adventist Church (1280 E. Washington Blvd, Pasadena, CA 91104).

Services include medical consultations, medical refills, mental health services and case management, vision care, and dental care. Questions? Call 855-665-4621, press 3.
