Cutting Waste, Not Benefits ✂️

<[link removed]>

The rumor mill is in overdrive again: “Republicans are cutting Medicaid
<[link removed]>
! It’s on the chopping block!”

Blah, blah, blah…don’t believe the hype, folks. This is just another liberal
scare tactic. Democrats have enlistedSoros-backed groups
<[link removed]>
and paid agitators to keep their fearmongering afloat.

Here’s the dadgum truth: The people pitching the biggest fit have a dog in
this fight. They’regetting rich
<[link removed]>
off the money that should go to folks in need—and they want to make sure their
gravy train keeps running down the track.

All Republicans are trying to do is cut waste, fraud, and abuse.

From overbilling to phantom accounts for people who don’t even exist, you
wouldn't believe how your tax dollars are beingthrown to the wind
<[link removed]>
. We're$36 trillion
<[link removed]>
in debt, and this is the type of crud that got us into that financial heap.

If we can cut $880 billion in loopholes
<[link removed]>
andmiddleman committees
<[link removed]>
, why wouldn’t we? That money should go to the people, not to bureaucrats who
want the machine to keep running as is.

This all reminds me of when President Ronald Reagan tried to clean up
government waste
<[link removed]>
. They accused him of slashing programs, but all he was trying to do was fix a
broken system. At that time, the government was spending $2 to deliver $1 of
benefits, so he cut through red tape to put more money into the hands of people
who really needed it.

Americans are sick and tired of watching their hard-earned money disappear
into bloated government programs that aren’t doing them much good.

If we can cut fraud and abuse and put dollars back into Americans’ pockets,
that’s a win, and I’m hopeful we can do it without affecting coverage.

Hurricane Helene Recovery ❤️‍🩹

<[link removed]>

Good news for Tennessee travelers.

After five months, a key stretch of I-40
<[link removed]>
on the Tennessee-North Carolina border is reopening this weekend. Hurricane
Helene tore through the area, sweeping part of the interstate into the river,
but crews have worked tirelessly to restore access.

Traffic will open with just one lane in each direction, so you can bet there
will be some delays, but a third lane will remain open for emergency response.

This is a critical step in getting commerce and tourism flowing again as both
Tennessee and North Carolina recover from Hurricane Helene.
