Help shape the future of direct buy policy—take our survey!

This enterprise policy applies to direct buy purchases of goods and services

DES is revising the *direct buy policy [ [link removed] ]*, which we anticipate will take effect in June 2025. Updates include feedback we gathered from stakeholders last year and aim to improve the policy’s effectiveness and usability for agencies.

*Key changes to the policy include:*

* *New Level 3 purchase threshold:* Expanding the policy to include purchases between $50,001 and $100,000.
* *Updated FAQ:* Clarifying topics such as repetitive purchases.
* *New reporting requirement:* Agencies will be required to report all direct buy purchases via the agency contract reporting system.
* *New procedure document:* Will help agencies ensure compliance with the policy.

We value your input to ensure this policy meets its goals and serves your needs. Please take a few minutes to complete our *direct buy policy feedback survey*, which will help us identify any gaps or barriers and determine useful direct buy limits for purchaser agencies. *The survey closes March 10.*
