Hi John,
Happy Sunday! We're near the end of our winter membership drive, and we still need your help to secure the resources we need to get our Priorities for a Healthy Oregon across the finish line. Are you able to give what you can now help us lift the heavy weight of climate action [[link removed]]?

Hi John,
We’ve been in session for almost a month now, and as a valued member of our organization, I want to make sure you’re up-to-date on all that we’ve been working on and all the heavy weight we’ve been lifting for our climate. Will you help us lift the weight of climate action this session [[link removed]]?
Going into this session we anticipated having to do a great deal of defense on the climate progress we’ve already made. There have already been 2 Major Threats to our climate and environment: HB 3119 that would delay our clean truck rules and threaten our clean air, and SB 777, a reappeared Major Threat from previous sessions that would multiply up to 7 times the amount already paid for livestock confirmed killed or injured by wolves.
Regardless of this defense, we set ambitious legislative goals, because that’s exactly what this moment requires. We’re already working hard to pass a transportation package that centers climate and equity, advance solutions for more affordable clean energy, protect Oregonians from sky-high rate hikes by holding utility companies accountable, and to safeguard our streamflows by protecting Oregon’s water. For more information on our Priorities for a Healthy Oregon, please visit this webpage.
This isn’t the moment for us to back down on our commitments. Now is the time to stand up and show what Oregonians value and what we won’t stand for, while we continue to lead on climate action across the country. The more power we have united, the stronger we are, and therefore the more we can lift and accomplish. Will you help us lift the weight of climate action this session [[link removed]]?

Together, I know we can do this. During Trump’s last presidential term, we didn’t back down. Instead, we made sure that Oregon’s clean air and water standards remained at the level they were before Trump took office.
Here at OLCV, we understand the importance of state work. But what helped us make that difference? Our members like you. Our members are the driving force behind all of our work to protect our state’s natural legacy, and to fight for a climate safe future for all of us. Are you able to make a contribution of any amount, to make these weights lighter [[link removed]]?
Help us pass our Priorities this session: [link removed]
Here’s how your gift helps us stop these Major Threats and get our Priorities for a Healthy Oregon across the finish line:
- A gift of $50 is all it takes to recruit a volunteer to write a letter to the editor (LTE);
- A gift of $60 helps us recruit 5 people to talk to their legislators in person at a lobby day in Salem;
- And, $120 helps a volunteer testify for one of our priorities.
With all of us lifting up these Priorities for a Healthy Oregon, and putting our foot down on these Major Threats, think of what we can accomplish. Will you donate to OLCV today and help us lift these weights to pass pro-environment legislation and defend our progress this session [[link removed]]?
