Small game hunting

* Cottontail rabbit and snowshoe hare: open through March 31.
* Fox and gray squirrel (black phase included): open through March 31.

Waterfowl hunting

Goose hunting

* South Zone: open Feb. 1-10.
* Allegan County Goose Management Unit: open through Feb. 15.

Furbearer hunting and trapping

Hunting seasons

* Coyote: open through April 15.
* Fox (gray and red): open through March 1.
* Raccoon: open through March 31.
* Opossum, skunk and weasel: year-round.

Trapping seasons

* Coyote and fox (gray and red): open through March 1.
* Raccoon: open through March 31.
* Opossum, skunk and weasel: year-round.
* Badger, beaver, bobcat, muskrat, mink and otter opportunities are available for some areas. See pages 5-6 in the Furbearer Harvest Regulations Summary for open units and season dates.
