In one of President Trump’s many executive orders since taking office last week, he overturned Joe Biden’s executive order to lower prescription drug prices. The elimination of this policy will hurt Connecticut families and taxpayers — the only winner here is Big Pharma and their profit margin. This policy change will hurt the most vulnerable among us: families, seniors, and individuals with chronic illnesses will see higher prices for medications they can’t live without. I’m ready to work in good-faith with whoever is willing to come to the table to work on policies that save money for families and taxpayers — but so far, we haven’t heard much pushback from the other side of the aisle on this policy change.
